JOBS

JOBS are central to 2012 and beyond, yet not a single candidate other than Buddy Roemer is talking about a strategy to create JOBS, and his platitudes lack substance.

We did not put JOBS into the logo because they are central to everything and we have been astonished at the ideological ignorance on this fundamental point.

Even Ron Paul, the Constitutionalist we most admire and support, is forgetting the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States and its itemization of the four central tenets of federal governance, federal governance being a service of common concern to the fifty united STATES of America.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.   Source

Hans Morgenthau, author of Politics Among Nations, still a classic and relevant text on power among nations, emphasized the root source of power for any nation as being its people–their education, health, and welfare.

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison are especially recognized for their emphasis on the vitality that comes of an educated public–we infer the same public to be employed:

Thomas Jefferson: A Nation’s best defense is an educated citizenry.

Thomas Jefferson: Educate and inform the whole mass of the people… They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.

James Madison: Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives.

The two-party tyranny has destroyed the general welfare in its ideological rush to satisfy its greed–one greedy bird, two wings, no difference.  2012 is the year in which we “reboot” US politics, reboot the US economy, and reboot US society.  The two party tyranny is not going to do this, We the People must do this for ourselves.

On each of the four vital tasks for which the government was formed, the two-party tyranny has failed abyssmally, beginning in our view in the era of Jimmy Carter, the first president to fall completely under the influence of the Trilateral Commission despite his stunning intellect and integrity–as with John F. Kennedy, the “system” was able to neutralize him.  Similarly, Ronald Reagan has the best of intentions, but beginning in 1992, the USA began to come apart at the seams.  Despite sound advice from the Secretary of Labor with respect to the urgent need for both a population policy and an industrial policy in support of a full employment policy, those who captured Ronald Reagan obsessed instead with feeding taxpayer wealth to the Military-Industrial-Congressional-Complex (MICC) and with further eroding the civil liberties of citizens as they moved to take over functions from the states.
